We understand that there are occasions when you may need to edit your own rating or have it deleted.

Scenario A - You have a user account and was logged in to submit your rating

If your original rating was submitted while you were logged in to your user account, you will be able to edit the star portion of your rating.

  2. Click on the user account icon located at the top right-hand corner, followed by "My Account".
  3. Click on "Rating" on the left sidebar.
  4. Here you will see all the ratings you have submitted while logged in to your account. Simply click on the desired number of stars, this change will be auto-saved.

To delete your own rating:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 of the above instructions.
  2. Click on the "Delete" button located just below the submission date of the rating.
  3. Confirm rating deletion by clicking on the "Delete" button in the pop-up window.

Scenario B - You do not have a user account or did not log in to submit your rating

Rating Receipt

If you do not want to log in to submit a rating for your healthcare provider, opting in for a Rating Receipt is the best way to easily and quickly have your rating edited and/or removed.

If did not opt in for a Rating Receipt, you can go through one of the two following options to edit and/or remove the rating you submitted.

Option 1

Flag your rating using the same device you used to submit the rating. Indicate in the pop-up window that you are the original poster and you wish to edit or remove this rating. For rating edits, include the exact information you would like to be edited.

All flagged ratings will be reviewed by our team and ratings that are in violation of our policies will be removed. Generally, the turnaround time is 3 business days.

Option 2

If there’s no flag option, the rating may still be removed. Please contact us and be sure to reference the following:

  1. The URL/link to the provider’s RateMDs profile. Or, the provider's first and last name, specialty, and city.
  2. The date of your rating
  3. The content of your rating. This will ensure we have the correct rating in case there are multiple ratings posted on the same date.
  4. The IP address of the original device you posted the comment with. You can find your IP address simply by typing ‘What’s my IP’ on Google or click here.
